The classic Oslo bar Mono needed to clarify its profile, to regain its position as the number one music venue at Youngstorget. There were a myriad of logo versions, and posters and communication were inconsistent. The solution was to position Mono primarily as a stage, to focus on its unique music history. We adjusted the logo and based it on the original sign outside the entrance. The logo appears consistently in the upper left corner on every surface. The graphic elements are inspired by old tickets / billboards and the coarse typography, with different sizes and tight margins, creates a feel and mood of punk/rock aesthetics. All the posters are typographic and based on selected lyrics from the artists playing at Mono, to evoke the emotions of the fans. The identity received two diplomas at the 2015 Visuelt Awards.
